My goodness, what a nasty little web we weave when first we practice to deceive. It’s not about what’s going to happen any more people, it’s about what’s going down now! And, what’s going down? Our economy! Our way of living! How about now??? Is now a good time for everyone to wake up?
So, um, I have a friend that lost like 70K when the government bailed out Freddie and Fannie last week. That was on top of another 80K he lost last year. Yeah, I had to talk my friend out of wanting to kill himself. And, this dude isn’t a “suit” per se. He’s someone who invested wisely with bonuses and savings, and now just watched it all be taken by Uncle Sam. I swear, Uncle Sam takes more than he gives! Worst kinda relative! Anyway, it’s real people. It’s real. I asked my friend why he would take on a risk like Freddie and Fannie, and his explanation was that the company kept saying that everything was okay. WTF?!!!! Perhaps you all don’t know this, but, um… companies LIE! ON PURPOSE! Seriously, if you can smell smoke, see the smoke, why do you need someone else to tell you the building is on fire?!
Let’s see, Bear Stearns had to be bailed out this year, um…Freddie and Fannie had to be saved by the government. And, every other major bank in the country is feeling the ground beneath them starting to split open. ( Hello Lehman, AIG, Merrill!) The impossible is becoming reality. The US economy, which in my opinon needed to have its business model redsigned long ago, is NOW realizing, it’s just too late to clean up its act. Money is drying up quickly. And, if you think it doesn’t concern you–you’re wrong.
Let’s see…hurricane Ike gave a nice ass-kicking to the big oil in Texas. Yep, you’re going to feel that too. And, while all this was happening I kept thinking, “Damn, if those people had wind farms, instead of oil rigs… There’d be no power outage spanning two states!” You’re paying for the greed of big oil my global brothers and sisters, you’re paying whether you like it or not. Just so you know Ike hit Texas with 110mph winds. Hm… what does that look like when harnessed into energy??? Oh yeah… but, Al Gore was crazy. Seems like a genius now, huh?
I know the majority of people would like to scream vicitm on what’s about to happen to them, or what has happened to them in these hard times. But, uh…no. That’s not going to work. Perhaps if you couldn’t read, or, you couldn’t comprehend the big picture. Or, if you were in a coma or something. Okay, then, I’d say it was victimhood. But, people, the truth is, the majority of us bought the lies, hook, line and sinker! We wanted to believe, like my friend, that we were being told the truth by the government, the big corporations, the preachers, the teachers, our best friend, etc… But, the truth is, we value someone else’s opinon over our own gut! And, when you go against your gut, it will cost you. And, the more you do it the more it will costs!
In this country (USA), people eat propoganda, smoke and mirrors and gossip like it was was candy from a pez dispenser. And, then, wonder why they suffer at the end. Seriously??? You don’t get it??? It’s called a HUSTLE! I mean, I’m one of the most positive, optimistic people I know, but, even I know the deal when pigs are wearing lipstick. And, no Mrs. Palin, I’m not talking about you. Or… hm… am I??? I’m talking about people trying to tell me that what my eyes see, my ears hear, and the queasiness in my stomach isn’t the truth! I’m talking about the disgusting marketing tactics of creating doubt within the human psyche! Doubt, is the opener for the Chaos concert. And, if you have no clue about what’s going on, you are roadkill waiting for an eighteen-wheeler.
This is no longer a time to ponder, people, this is time to DO. We are in the midst of a cultural overhaul in terms of what life in this country–no, the world– looks like. And, you know what?? It’s going to happen regardless of whether or not people like it. It’s happening despite false reports from the media. It’s happening despite the padded numbers of quarterly earnings or losses of companies. The earth is tapping out of oil despite the mob chanting, “Drill, baby, drill!” It’s HAPPENING!
You know, when Ike was approaching people were warned it’d be bad. When Katrina was approaching, people were warned. When things MUST CHANGE, when we MUST evolve, we need to understand IT’S INEVETIABLE! You don’t have a say, but, you do have a choice. You can try an ride out the storm, knowing full well you could die in the process. Or, you can take heed of the dangers, pack yourself, your family, and your stuff and go find shelter elsewhere. They will try an tell you that they are looking out for you, or that it isn’t as bad as it seems, but, who knows your life like you do? Who knows how much you can afford to lose, before you can no longer rebuild?! Companies lie to investors to prolong, their own ruin, and if you go along for the ride, they don’t care! The government cannot and will not bail out everybody, so, some of these companies are going the way of the dinosaurs–down into the tar pits!
Three years after Katrina, and New Orlean isn’t back to what it was! Insurance companies took in money, and then didn’t insure its customers! People it’s time to knuckle-up, brace ourselves, and hello, THINK about all the “What ifs”, you refused to think about before. It’s time to think about what we can do as individuals to safeguard our homes, our money, our investments when (not if–when) more and more of these banks fail. Here’s a hint: Think liquidity. Think cash, as it will be king as credit continues to bury itself in the lies of corporate America. It’s never been a more critical time to get out of debt. The U.S. has been selling ours to China (did you know that?), and now their currency is rising in value. Isn’t that good? Uh..not if your economy’s competive edge is ceap labor, and cheap goods. Yeah… they kinda think we set them up. Noooo….we’d never do that. We always look out for our customers and investors. See??? P.T. Barnum, knew the dealio, “There’s a sucker born every minute!” Wake up people, and get moving! There’s a storm coming!
