So, I meditate… a lot. I told my mom that if  prayer is talking then meditation is listening. And, if you believe that old addage about two ears, one mouth–then you know what’s up.
Did I mention I’m a type A personality? Well, yeah, I am. And, I had to unlearn a lot of things in my life thus far. For example: time. I do not like tardiness, it looks good on no one. I cannot stand being late and work very hard to not be late, until I moved here…New York. New York has a way of putting time into perspective, it’s called rush hour on the subway. That has help curb my tardiness issue. And, yes, people it was an issue, my exhusband was forever tardy–ask him how many times I would leave him if he were late for something. Oh yeah, I did it–and if we hang, know this! LOL And, no, I’m not joking. Anyway, the subway, has made me not care so much about being late. Why? Because I don’t want to go to jail for homocide! I’d rather be late. Which is good, because sometimes, you have no choice. Nowadays, I actually meditate more on the subway than I do at home. I’ve actually fallen into some cool trances. Funny how you can be someplace and not all at the same time. If you’ve meditated–correctly, you know what I’m saying.
One can start a meditation by taking deep breathes and concentrating to the point where you kinda fall into the rhythm of your own breath. After a while though, when you relax, you use less breath and energy. Don’t believe me, look at some of the buddhist monks of the world and check their heart rate–barely a bleep.
Tonight, I ramble…but, I’m feeling good…and ready to power down for the eve…aka meditate. Don’t forget to breathe, it’s truly important–difference between homocide and happiness–in extreme cases of course. 😉
